The Zoom In tool allows the user to increase the scale of the map -- that is, to get “closer” to the map and view smaller areas in more detail.
To zoom in:
Select Zoom In from the Map Tools drop-down list.
With your mouse either click on the map or click-and-drag to draw a box.
The map will re-center and zoom in where you clicked / dragged a box.
In the example below, a box is used to define the zoom in parameters. Alternatively, when a user simply clicks on the map, it will zoom increase the scale a predefined amount and re-center on the click location.


The Zoom In tool, when used with a bounding box, will zoom in tot he minimum and maximum X and Y coordinates of the user defined bounding box. When using a single click the map will zoom in at a pre-defined factor.
