

Title Bar- This frame contains the title of the map service, link to the print system, link to the help system, service information and ability to clear selected features on the map.
Address Search & Quick Search Bar- The area (in green) allows you to search for an address, enter a number in the address box and select a street from the street name box. To perform a quick search, select a pre-defined layer in the "Search for:"box and type in a value in the "Like:" box. You can search for Zipcodes, Parcel #s (Printkey),Roads or any layer pre-defined by the administrator.
Map Tools- The area (in dark blue) consists of the following mapping tools in order from left to right (zoom-in, zoom-out, pan, identify, measure, reset measure, clear measure, turn aerial-infareds on/off, clear aerials and clear selected features) If specified for a particular map service you might have the coordinate mapper tool. To use these tools click the tool then click on the map.
Current Tool- A message appears in the light blue area that tells you the current tool that you have selected from the mapping tool-set.
Theme/Query/ Buffer Tools- This tabbed area, allows you to generate pre-defined themes as well as perform simple and advanced queries and buffers as specified by the administrator.
Layers/Legend Tools- The tabbed ares consists of a legend (which displays current visible layers), a list of layers you can turn on/off (by checking and un-checking), and allow you to view the map legend (current viewable layers).
Main Map Window- This is the where things happen as you use your tools, layers, themes, etc. This area also contains a north arrow and scale (in the bottom left corner) as well as display your measure tool (in the upper left corner) when active.

List of Available Layers- The Table of contents denotes which layers
are available in the associated map frame. Any of the layers in the list
can be turned on (made visible) by checking the Visible Checkbox.
Please note that the aerial photos layer won't appear in the layers list.
This layer is invisible and can only be turned on by using the Aerial
On/Off tool in the Map Tools Area (dark-blue strip)
(b) ID/Visible Layers- The ID box denotes whether a layer is identifiable
or not. That is, when you click on the layer in the map with the ID tool
will there be any data associated with that layer a checkbox signifies
yes and a red x means no. These are pre-configured by the administrator.
The visible box simply denotes whether a layer is currently visible or
not again Any of the layers in the list can be turned on (made visible)
by checking the Visible Checkbox. Layers with a red S in the visibility box means that the layer is scale dependent (you must zoom in closer to view).
